We are Celebrating our Anniversary with the Opening of Two Collections!

White House Advance Office and Office Files of Donald Rumsfeld Now Open

Today is the 16th anniversary of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum joining the federal Presidential Libraries of the National Archives and Records Administration! We are excited to announce two collections are now open to researchers.

One is the files of the White House Advance Office. These materials document the professionalization of Presidential advancing and contains materials on all Presidential travel and appearances outside the White House, including the historic 1972 trip to China. Click HERE to view the finding aid.

The other collection is the office files of Donald Rumsfeld which covers the period from 1969 when he was appointed Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) to 1972, when he was appointed U.S. Ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Click HERE to view the finding aid.
