City of Yorba Linda's Mayor and Young Civic Leaders Academy at the Nixon Library

The Mayor of Yorba Linda, Tara Campbell, and the Young Civic Leaders Academy visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on April 3, 2019.

Mayor Campbell, sworn in earlier this year, is the youngest mayor in the history of the city and is the youngest female mayor in the State of California. In 2016, the Yorba Linda native became the youngest person to be elected to Yorba Linda's City Council.

In addition to meeting Yorba Linda Police Services Chief Lt. Cory Martino and Orange County Fire Authority Battalion Chief Mike Blawn, the Young Civic Leader Academy members learned about the history of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum from the library's director Michael Ellzey. Director Ellzey also explained the role of the National Archives and Records Administration in the administration of the library.
