Brown met in the Oval Office of the White House at an unknown time between 4:56 pm and 5:00 pm. The Oval Office taping system captured this recording, which is known as Conversation 473-016 of the White House Tapes.

Finch, George P. Shultz, George W. Romney, Robert J. Brown, and Leonard Garment and press photographers, met in the Cabinet Room of the White House from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
