The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is proud to be a 2026 Blue Star Museum!

We are a Blue Star Museum 2019

The 2026 Blue Star Museums program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of War and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.

Typically, more than 2,000 museums across America participate in Blue Star Museums each summer. These include children's museums, art museums, history and science museums, zoos, and nature centers. You can find participating museums at: https://www.arts.gov/blue-star-museums-map

The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military—Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force, members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), DD Form 1173-1 ID card or the Next Generation Uniformed Services (Real) ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum.
