First Lady Pat Nixon:  A Birthday Tribute

March 12 to 29, 2015

In observing the anniversary of First Lady Pat Nixon’s 103rd birthday, the Nixon Library joins in with the Girl Scouts of Orange County’s “Yankee Doodle Girl Scout” theme this year.  The assembled items on display reflect the spirit of America, as in a gift to Mrs. Nixon of a wood carving of the song “Yankee Doodle,” and two cookbooks featuring all-American recipes. Also on display, is an evening gown worn by First Lady Pat Nixon while at the White House during a performance of the play “1776.” Location: Great Room.
