The White House Communications Agency (WHCA) Videotape Collection contains "off-the-air" recordings of televised programs produced between 1968 and 1974.

  • The 4,087 broadcast quality two inch quadruplex videotape recordings comprise 3,900 hours of playing time.

Scope and Content Note

The White House Communications Agency (WHCA) Videotape Collection contains "off-the-air" recordings of televised programs produced between 1968 and 1974. The 4,087 broadcast quality two inch quadruplex videotape recordings comprise 3,900 hours of playing time.

The collection was compiled by members of the WHCA for the use of the Nixon administration and for future use by a Nixon Presidential Library.
