On January 6, 2020, retired NASA engineer Gary Dillard visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library with his sister Jayne Moreland. He was suprised by friends, family, and the museum staff as he arrived to see the Apollo 11: One Giant Leap for Mankind special exhibit. Afterward, Mr. Dillard told his sister is was the most wonderful day of his life.
Sadly, Mr. Dillard passed away on February 5, 2020.
We at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum are honored and glad we were able to give Mr. Dillard a special day.
