We would like to thank you for participating in the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum Education Program during the 2014-2015 school year! The 2014-2015 school year was a tremendous success for our library and museum student tour program. We had over 11,500 students and adults visit us, tour our facilities and learn about President Nixon's rich history.
As most of you know, the gallery facilities have not been substantially updated since 1990. In November 2015, the Nixon Library closed its permanent exhibition galleries to the public to complete a scheduled Museum Exhibition space redesign project and associated construction. The redesign will introduce the public to new engaging and exciting displays, audio visuals targeted to a younger, tech savvy millennial audience. Accordingly, the Nixon Library will be unable to offer school tours for the 2015-2016 school year.
For more information on this exciting gallery re-design project, please visit the Richard Nixon Foundation website at http://nixonfoundation.org/news-details.php?id=819
We will provide you with timely updates on this project and will reach out to our Education partners starting in March 2016 to begin scheduling reservations for Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum tours for November 2016.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you again for your understanding and continued support. Please monitor developments at the Library over the next year through regular E-mail updates and on our website at www.nixonlibrary.gov.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at NixonEducation@nara.gov or 714-983-9120.
