October 1: Robert Scheer, editor-in-chief of Truthdig.com, will visit the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum for a free public talk October 9 at 7:30 p.m. about his new book The Pornography of Power. Scheer, known for his syndicated newspaper column and his commentary on Santa Monica radio station KCRW, was a 2007 winer of the Webby award for best political blog.
