Visitors testing positive for COVD-19 (or guests who have a fever or are otherwise symptomatic on the date of their planned visit) should not visit the Museum and are eligible to reschedule their visit (pending space availability) or receive a refund. To reschedule please call Foundation’s Admissions Team at 714-364-1150.

Only service animals are allowed on the campus.

Visitor Services

Visitor services are limited. The Food Cart Café will be available for guests to purchase pre-packaged snacks and drinks to-go or dine outside at properly distanced tables in accordance with state and local requirements. Food and beverages are not allowed in the Museum. Drinking fountains are not available, but visitors may have sealable water bottles. Please remember, drinking is prohibited in the Museum.

A selection of retail items are available for purchase in the Gift Shop. Retail items may also be purchased by visiting the online Museum Gift Shop.

As always, flash photography and videography are prohibited in the Museum.

Visitors agree to abide by the guidelines on the Museum's website and by all instructions posted in the museum or provided by staff during the visit. If a visitor or a member of their party fails to follow the Museum's guidelines and instructions, they may be denied entry or required to leave the premises.

Each of us plays a role in a successful and safe reopening. Thank you for your patience and commitment to honoring our new safety protocols. Please continue reading to learn about our enhanced safety measures.

COVID-19 ENHANCED SAFETY MEASURES

The Museum has implemented enhanced health and safety measures; however, we cannot guarantee visitors will not contract COVID-19 during their visit. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place at this time. Visitors to the Museum voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 exposure.

The requirement for bag inspection and visitor screening on entrance will result in an inability to guarantee our security officers can maintain 6-foot social distancing during these procedures. In the event of a reported COVID-19 exposure during their visit, the person making the reservation will be notified by the contact information they provided on their reservation and that person will be responsible for notifying all members of their party.

For the safety of all visitors and staff, anyone who is sick or has any sign of a respiratory illness should stay home. If you are sick or not feeling well, or believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, please visit us another time.

Face Coverings

All visitors ages 2 and older to the Museum must wear a face covering or mask that covers both the nose and the mouth. Visitors are encouraged to provide their own face coverings. The Admissions desk will have face coverings while supplies last but cannot guarantee availability.

Entering the Museum

Visitors must check their temperature before arrival on the day of their visit to confirm that they do not have a fever. Any visitor displaying visible symptoms of COVID-19 will be denied entry.

Maintaining Proper Social Distance

For your convenience, floor markers have been installed to indicate directional flow and proper spacing of individuals and groups. Please be sure to view everything in a gallery area before proceeding to the next area as visitors will not be allowed to retrace their steps back through the galleries.

Practice social distancing during your visit by staying at least 6 feet from anyone not in your group. Groups of no more than 6 will be able to social distance together. Children must stay with adults at all times. Failure to follow social distancing procedures and the mandatory face covering policy for unvaccinated individuals will result in removal from the museum.

Using Your Mobile Device

Visitors are encouraged to download the Richard Nixon: Library Tour mobile app on their own personal mobile device and bring headphones to experience audio tours of the exhibit(s). The mobile app is available in the GooglePlay Store and the Apple App Store.

Enhanced Cleaning Measures

The Museum is conducting enhanced cleanings of the museum and high-touch areas.  Hand sanitizer is available throughout the museum.

Contact Tracing

The Museum may share your name and email address with a governmental health authority should that information be requested for a COVID-19-related reason. If a visitor reports that she or he was diagnosed with COVID-19 after visiting the Museum near your visit, the Museum will use your contact information to notify you. If you do not want your name or email address used for these purposes, please call the Nixon Foundation’s Admissions Team at 714-364-1174. The Museum will not disclose your email address for any other purpose without your permission.

To enhance the safety and wellbeing of our community, we ask that anyone testing positive for (or expressing symptoms of) COVID-19 within five (5) days of their visit notify the Museum by contacting the Nixon Foundation’s Admissions Team at 714-364-1174. Other visitors will be notified of potential exposure but the identity of the person testing positive will not be communicated.

TICKET INFORMATION AND ENTRY PROCEDURES

It is strongly encouraged to order tickets online in advance. You may purchase a maximum of six (6) tickets per group visit.

To assist in social distancing while inside the Museum, the maximum number of visitors in one group is limited to six people.

The Admissions Team Staff will verify your tickets at the Admissions desk.

While we will do our best to honor your ticket, entry to the Museum will be temporarily limited to observe COVID-19 building capacity. Tickets do not guarantee entry into the museum.

Please have your ticket(s) available (on your phone or printed) for entry.
