New Materials Release
On May 20, 2015, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum opened additional Nixon Presidential Materials in response to researcher requests.
Declassified Documents
Nearly 4,000 pages processed under mandatory declassification review for this opening. Among them are documents relating to the reversion of Okinawa to Japanese administration, a memorandum and two reports from Tom Charles Huston on a bombing halt in Vietnam, and information regarding military activities during the Vietnam conflict.

Alphabetical Name Files
The Name Files were used for routine materials filed alphabetically by the name of the correspondent. Copies of documents in the Name Files were usually filed by subject in the Subject Files. This release includes files for Presidents George H.W. Bush, Gerald Ford, and Jimmy Carter. Other Federal Government officials include Barry Goldwater, J. Edgar Hoover, Hubert Humphrey, and George McGovern. The Library also opened files for entertainers Art Linkletter and John Wayne. |
