Standard Gauge model trains were manufactured from the early 1900’s until World War II.  These colorful oversized trains are referred to as “Tinplate” due to their stamped metal construction.  The trains are not to scale and approximately represent the real operating trains of the day. The structures, bridges, figures, automobiles and parked locomotives displayed are original 1900 -1930’s pieces from the John Parker
Collection. Today, original Standard Gauge trains are highly sought after by collectors commanding premium prices.
