Meet two celebrated White House photographers when they talk about their up close and personal experiences capturing the American presidency.

Pulitzer Prize winner David Hume Kennerly, personal photographer to President Gerald Ford from 1974 to 1977, has been shooting on the front lines of history for decades. “David Hume Kennerly is like Forrest Gump, except he was really there,” said James Earl Jones.

Eric Draper served as President George W. Bush’s chief photographer for the entire eight years of his presidency. Named Special Assistant to the President, Draper became the first White House photographer to be named a commissioned officer to the President. The event will be moderated by Mark Updegrove, Executive Director of the LBJ Library.

This event is cosponsored by the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, the Richard Nixon Foundation, and the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
