Subject file category FG 22 contains materials pertaining to the Department of Labor. FG 22 DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

Included in the Executive files of category FG 22 is correspondence concerning employment and unemployment statistics and programs such as the reorganization of the Manpower Administration, the Computer Job Bank System, pensions for veterans and senior citizens, welfare, and assistance for Vietnam veterans. Also included in the Executive files is correspondence concerning an increase in the minimum wage and its impact on employment opportunities, statistics concerning the Consumer Price Index and the Wholesale Price Index, and budget information. There is also correspondence concerning the Council of Economic Policy, the Oil Import Task Force, and Domestic Council Committees on Welfare Reform Planning and Veterans Services. The Executive files also include information concerning strikes by various labor unions. Guest lists for White House social activities are periodically found in the Executive files.

The General files include several letters requesting the President or a staff member to speak before various organizations around the country.
